Welcome to the Fastminds Adult ADHD Support Group.
FASTMINDS is an acronym for symptoms commonly experienced by people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Our non-profit user-lead group was founded in 2013, with the aim of promoting and protecting the physical and mental health of adults affected by ADHD – whether formally diagnosed or not – in Kingston-upon-Thames (South West London) and surrounding areas, and improve their quality of life.
WHAT WE DO
- HOLD REGULAR SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS – We hold fortnightly in-person gatherings (Fridays 11am-1pm) with online meetings the following week (via Zoom, Thursdays 11am to1pm). Monthly evening online sessions take place on the 4th Monday of the month, unless it’s a Bank Holiday (via Zoom 7pm to 9pm).
- PUBLISH NEWSLETTERS FOR MEMBERS – with news, research and other topics related to ADHD, our group and local initiatives.
- WORK CLOSELY WITH LOCAL PARTNER AGENCIES – resources permitting, we do our best to:
- Promote social inclusion amongst adults with ADHD (whether formally diagnosed or not);
- Provide education and information.
- Raise public awareness of the issues affecting those with ADHD.
- Provide advocacy and general support.
- Currently ON HOLD due to lack of resources.
- Provide recreational facilities and opportunities for those with ADHD.
- Our Art Group sessions are currently ON HOLD due to lack of venue.
